Alpha Phi Omega Service Fraternity returned to help us during pantry distribution. They managed the yummy bagel station (bagels courtesy of Einstein Bagels).and tended the all-important dessert cart courtesy of Panera Bread.
We celebrated Mardi Gras at RBJ, courtesy of the Family Eldercare social workers. They had king cake, beads and masks and lots of music. Donna Bonner, Molly Martin, Andrew Rivera and Deirdre Adams, Family Eldercare social workers, attended the event.
Achieving a well designed logo requires really hard work and being up to date with the latest trends in design takes effort. Thanks to Amanda Godwin, from Fire Well & Tree, who donated her time and effort in designing this logo, we are now officially on our way to establishing Serafina’s brand identity. Most logos communicate ideas and ours is communicating health, help and happiness for those elderly and handicapped clients we serve.
On November 14, 2015, Austin Pagan Pride Day (APPD) was held in Austin’s Zilker Park and chose Serafina as their official APPD charity for the event. As a result of their generous donation, Serafina’s pantry clients benefited from all the food donated by visitors and participants at the event.
This turnip was among the donations received today from Austin teaching farm Urban Roots. We ‘ve partnered with Urban Roots for more than a year, and had the pleasure of their organic beets, kale, ramps, tomatoes, herbs and many more veggies.
Here’s Lorig Hawkins, farm manager at teaching farm FarmSharewith some of the produce donated to Serafina pantry today. Rainbow chard, broccoli, cabbage, parsley, beets will be enjoyed by Serafina pantry clients.
BIG (Building Image Group) has been very generous to our efforts of feeding the hungry and provding for those in need. We are appreciate all you do for our clients.
Already our pantry clients have started benefiting from BIG (Building Image Group) donation to the Serafina pantry. Here, Jo Staton and Robert Menard show, bed sheets, towels and rugs, generously donated by BIG.
On one occasion recently,the fearless Kate Friday and her husband David, brought us a generous donation, not just of canned food that we always need, but also included sets of linens for bath and beds. On top of everything, they kicked in a donation of cash too!
